Connecting Hunters Through a Safer Digital Community
The goal was to build more than a social app. BuckBuddy needed to support real hunting behavior: planning, communication, safety, finding nearby hunters, sharing updates, and staying connected in environments where trust and clarity matter.
The product direction combined community tools with practical field features. The app had to feel simple enough for less tech-savvy users while still supporting advanced hunting scenarios, privacy controls, and real-time communication.
The Product Solution
We shaped BuckBuddy as a mobile-first platform with account flows, messaging, ghost mode, radius-based discovery, topographic data, marketplace screens, and community interaction built around a familiar hunting visual language.
The Custom Development Process

Hunter-Centered UX
Mapped the app around real hunter needs, pain points, and habits so onboarding, sign-in, discovery, and community screens feel familiar and easy to use.
Safety & Privacy Logic
Planned secure location-sharing, privacy controls, and ghost mode so users can connect confidently without exposing sensitive hunting spots.
Interactive Wireframes
Converted rough ideas into wireframes, login flows, sign-up screens, and interface structures before moving into polished mobile UI design.
Community Feature System
Designed messaging, bragging board, marketplace, match requests, profile views, and user interactions to strengthen trust and repeat engagement.
